Recently, we made some changes to the DV Radio Patreon, you can now be a guest! What else is in this newsletter? Read on to find out!

Discord Party Time!

We've been throwing the idea of hopping into Discord one evening and getting together with some of you all but life hasn't allowed us to yet. Oink has a lot going on in Alaska, Recoil is smothered in work at home, DV6 couldn't use Discord if his life depended on it, Google has horses and school to worry about, SGT WarDawg is probably licking some smiley faced stickers, and Bo is doing a ton of creative stuff that most of you don't care about. So is it ever going to happen?

It is! We're not sure when but those that are in Discord rarely say much so it's hard to find out when anybody is on, what interests they have, and if anybody would even like to have a Discord Stage (this is what this is called) at this point. We have a few regulars that interact in Discord (thank you so much, we love you all!) so we might just get up with them, go *live* some random night and those that join, we'll have some fun.

These will not be recorded, these will just be for fun and they'll just be all of us talking out of our fourth point of contact. Whether we talk about our time in service, random things, or just whatever is on the minds of whomever is in the Stage we'll just talk. Having fun and forgetting your past demons for a few minutes, that's what we're gonna do. How will you know when we do the Discord Stage?

It's simple really, be a member of the DV Radio Discord and if you see a notification or "live" sign on the logo, then we're in there doing a Stage. We'll also put it out in a newsletter, social media, and our show(s) to give you a short heads up as to when it's happening. Some of you may remember our author brother Mike Guardia from past episodes of BARRACKS TALK and if you don't, you're missing out! Mike is a brother that we absolutely love, has an open-ended invite, and works his brain and fingers off writing some of the best books we've ever laid eyes on and this book is no different!

His most recent book (The Combat Diaries True Stories from the Frontlines of World War II) is one about the Man Behind The Soldier, what's that mean? They weren't just Soldiers but they were teachers, celebrities, and every day people that had normal, American lives. So you've listened to DV Radio for years and you've wanted to come on the show but you've never been able to or you've been too shy, well now is your chance!

If you're a Patron of DV Radio then you'll know that some tier changes were made and one of the new changes was the "BE A GUEST" tier that is limited to four Patreon members per month. You'll get to come on a show of your choosing, if there's more than one show and they have room for you, and spend the entire show with the hosts being a guest host!
